Projects

I seem to get myself into a lot of projects lately since I have more time on my hands.  I really do love doing them, or at least love the finished product.

Remember that ugly .50 mirror from the garage sale?  It is now a chalkboard in our dinning room.  Combine a dollar can of spray paint (that I still have a lot left over for other projects!), borrowed chalkboard paint from a neighbor, and a little elbow grease, and viola!  The frame isn't as bright blue as the picture looks, it is more navy.  For now it is in our dinning room as our menu planner for the week.  This picture is from when I went to Texas, and Shane was home for two weeks without me!

Remember this free chair I got at the yard sale on post?
With the encouragement of some friends, a few you tube tutorials, $3 in supplies from Wal-Mart it now looks like this!

I have seen these moss covered letters before, and always thought they were neat.  So, I decided to give it a try.  Besides a lot of time, this project was fairly easy.  I was happy with the end result, and it now hangs over our fireplace.

Remember the table squares we had at our wedding?  I recovered an old pillow using them.

This wasn't necessarily a project but just a neat find at a local consignment shop.  Our new-to-us antique rocking chair.
