Enjoy a brief tour of our little home in Kansas. We were blessed to get another historic home (quadraplex) on post that is two stories, two bedrooms, three bathrooms, with a large basement. Pardon pictures where things are not perfectly placed, clean, or set up. I'm beginning to realize our home is a constant work in progress. Although as of last week I believe we have officially hung everything on the walls (I despise hanging things on the wall, and deliberate for weeks on where to place each item, ugh!). The only room you won't see is Matthew's nursery (also the guest bedroom), it is still coming together, expect a special post about that next month.
The front of our house.
The kitchen is the first room you come into when you walk in the door.
Technically, I believe our back door is the true front door because there is a small entry way and half bath by it, but it is really our back door.
We enjoy a little more space in the kitchen than our last home, although there is always a need for more cabinets/counter space!
The next room you will come to is our dinning room [and office]. It is large enough for our table, a few extra chairs, and desk.
Though our living room is a bit smaller and differently shaped we managed to make our furniture fit just fine. We love spending most of our time in this room.
Standing near the back door, the stairs are to the left and the half bathroom is straight ahead (somehome I missed a picture of the half bath downstairs).
This is the view out our back door. Called the "courtyard" side of the houses.
A look at the back of our house. Although this was several months ago when as you can see Shane was working in the yard. We now have beautiful landscaping that is growing like crazy!
Once upstairs you will find the guest bathroom [and only true full bath in our home]. Quite narrow, but it works!
Our master bedroom.
The [tiny] 3/4 master bathroom. Behind the door to the right is our shower stall. Though neither of us have ever used it!
Stay tuned for more odds and ends of our new-to-us home coming soon.
